April Staff Spotlight: Sara Oscilowski

For this month’s Staff Spotlight blog post, we’re excited to introduce you to Sara Oscilowski, our April Employee of the Month and a Recovery Assistant at Hidden River.

Let’s get to know Sara Oscilowski!

How long have you been with Hidden River?

I have been with Hidden River for about six months now.

What are three words that describe you?

Authenticity, inclusivity, and positivity are all important to me.

Name some things you are passionate about in your free time.

I’m passionate about going to concerts! I have a lot lined up for the summer, which I am very excited about. My favorite band is Glass Animals, and I cannot express how thrilled I am to see them on tour again. If I’m able to see a show at Red Rocks in Colorado, that would be a dream come true!

What’s one thing or place on your bucket list?

Something on my bucket list is to go diving with sharks! They’re my favorite animal, and I would love the opportunity to do that one day.

How did you get started in this field?

I am in school for social work and plan to become a therapist when I graduate. I have always loved working with adolescents, and the field of eating disorders has always seemed interesting, so becoming a Recovery Assistant was the perfect opportunity! Hidden River has taught me so much, and I truly appreciate everyone here.

What is your favorite part of your workday?

My favorite part of my workday is getting to know the patients. It’s important to me that they all feel supported throughout treatment, and I love playing a role in their journey.

What’s the best part about working at Hidden River?

I have the best coworkers, and I love working with people who are as passionate about this field as I am!
