This recognition is very humbling. I feel empowered to support the growth of those around me just as I have been supported from my first day at Hidden River.
How did you first get into the field of eating disorder treatment, and what led you to Hidden River?
My job at Hidden River was my first exposure to eating disorder treatment. I had a desire to use my skills toward a meaningful purpose, and I am beyond grateful to have been given the opportunity to do so at Hidden River.

What advice would you give your younger self at the start of your career?
I would remind myself to embrace mistakes as learning opportunities. I would not be where I am today without the many mistakes I have made!
What does your role look like on a day-to-day basis, and what part of your work energizes you the most?
My role requires a balance of administrative/managerial work with patient care. The positivity of those around me keeps me motivated and energized throughout the day.
Can you describe a moment or project this year that reminded you why you love your job?
On an extremely busy day, I promised a resident to find time for her to teach me how to play chess. As I sat down and listened to her instructions, I was reminded of her incredible recovery journey and the amazing potential she has in this world. I was grateful to be a small part of her success story.
What’s your favorite collaboration moment with a colleague this year?
This year, the entire team worked very hard in preparation for the opening of the Emerging Young Adult & Mid-Life Adult Program. Long hours were spent to ensure every detail was considered. The program has since grown, enabling us to successfully help so many people.

Our team is passionate about what they do. I absolutely love how we celebrate small and big successes of not only the residents but also the team members.

Now for some personal questions! What’s a fun fact about you that most people at work might not know?
My college major was Fine Arts with a concentration in Theatre. As a teenager, I participated in many talent shows as a source of income.
You can’t take care of others without first taking care of yourself. What self-care habits do you practice?
My self-care routine includes reading before bedtime every single night.
What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?
After a busy day, I like to unwind by chatting with my daughter while cooking dinner together.
What’s a hobby or passion outside of work that brings you joy?
I love taking care of my cats, doing puzzles, and roller skating… but not all at the same time!
