Our Program
Emerging Young Adult & Mid-Life Adult Program
Hidden River proudly offers a dedicated residential treatment program for females assigned at birth, ages 21+, who are navigating the complex challenges of eating disorders and related mental health conditions. Nestled within a serene 12-acre property in the rolling hills of central New Jersey, the program is housed in a small, homelike cottage setting that fosters safety, connection, and personalized care.
As New Jersey’s first residential eating disorder treatment center, Hidden River sets the standard for compassionate, expert-led treatment. Our multidisciplinary team includes Certified Eating Disorder Specialists (CEDS) supervised clinicians, medical doctors with specialties in psychiatry, and other experienced clinicians dedicated to guiding each young woman on her path to healing.
Treatment is tailored to address the unique developmental and emotional needs of emerging adulthood, promoting autonomy, self-awareness, and sustainable recovery, all within a nurturing environment that respects the individuality and dignity of each resident.
Family involvement remains a cornerstone of care. From day one, families are engaged through orientation, weekly therapy sessions, and consistent updates to ensure they are informed and supported throughout the process.
At Hidden River, we believe healing begins with connection—in a peaceful setting with expert guidance and a community that understands.
