Cindy Pikus, Ph.D., CEDS
Executive Clinical Director


Dr. Cindy Pikus has worked with children, adolescents, and adults with eating disorders, as well as their families, for over 25 years. She brings to her role as Executive Clinical Director her extensive experience and expertise in treating people with eating disorders at all levels of care, with an emphasis on compassionate patient care, support for families, insightful clinical supervision, and collaborative leadership. Dr. Pikus received her B.A. degree and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from UCLA and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Hospital. She then joined the UCLA hospital staff, initially as a therapist in the UCLA Eating Disorders Program and later serving as Associate Director of that program, where she coordinated multidisciplinary teams at the inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient levels of care. From 2013 to 2018, Dr. Pikus was the Senior Clinical Director of an adult inpatient and residential eating disorders unit in Colorado. In 2018, Dr. Pikus moved to New Jersey to join the leadership team at Hidden River. Dr. Pikus is a member of the American Psychological Association, the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals, and the Academy for Eating Disorders.
